This week, the children in room 2 have started to explore clay. Today, the children made lots of different shapes using the material, and used lollipop sticks to cut and make patterns for it. Tomorrow, the children in room two will start to explore a new theme, the Café. The CAFÉ will be used as a way to integrate their learning in English (role plays and writing in the Café) Maths (spending money in the Café), Science (keeping beverages hot/cold), and Art (making Café utensils using clay) to name but a few. For the rest of the term, the children in room in will be learning about procedural writing. In oral language lessons, the children will also be practising how to give oral instructions to another. This week, the children have been practising procedural language by using words such as first, next, then, and last.
