Today, our class learned quite a lot about Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights. During Diwali Hindus decorate their homes with lights called diyas. In this way, they celebrate the victory of light over darkness, particularly in relation to the story of Rama and Sita. In our class, we made our own lanterns to mark this festival.
