I would like to wish all of the Muslim families in our school and wider community an Eid Mubarak.

We had a wonderful celebration in the school this morning. I was delighted with the turn-out. What struck me most about this morning’s celebration was the amount of parents and children of other faith/belief traditions that came along to celebrate with with our Muslim friends and neighbours.

Our Muslim children sang one of our favourite songs from the GMGY! program for Muslims. Maryam spoke beautifully about what Eid means to her. She reminded us of how lucky we are to be in a space where children and parents of all faiths/beliefs can come together to celebrate each other’s differences. We hope to organise similar mornings for all our families which will celebrate their beliefs/faiths this year. I look forward to working with our families on this.
