We have been learning about Space and the Solar System. During our playtime we get the chance to be astronauts and fly a rocket to different planets. We can also play aliens and the astronauts who landed on our planet have been asking us lots of interesting questions about life on our planet. We also learnt about the first man who walked on the moon. Ask us to tell you about the moon and the names of the men who flew the Apollo 11 to the moon. Room 4 worked very hard last week practising for our Winter Concert. We learnt some new songs, revised our new sounds and used our new Irish phrases to help us go shopping. Everyone had a job to do, some children had lines, some children showed us the actions to an Irish rhyme and some children showed everyone what we do in P.E. We have been learning about King Tutankhamun in history. He became king when he was only nine years old! We imagined what we would do if we were a king or a queen. This week we heard the story of the boy who cried wolf. We found some pictures of the story but they were all mixed up! We worked with our elbow buddy to put the pictures in the right order. We have been learning about Drippy the Raindrop. He started off relaxing in the sea but it got too hot and he evaporated up into the clouds. The cloud became too full and Drippy fell out of the cloud. He landed in a stream. He floated down the stream which became a river and the river led to the sea. The whole cycle starts all over again!
