First Class Room 9: Maths Doubles

Oct 14, 2016

Number strategies help us when working with numbers in maths. The strategies we have used so far in First Class are friendly numbers and the count on strategy.

This week in maths, Room 9 have been learning all about the doubles number strategy in maths. Doubles are two numbers that are the same. When we know our doubles they make it easier for us to add! During maths lessons this week we used unifix cubes to make doubles up to twenty. We even learned a groovy song called the Doubles Game. You can check it out here.
