All week we had fun playing with the Numicon.  Numicon are little shapes with numbers of circles inside.  It was like playtime when we were learning maths.  Numicon helps us with our maths.  It helps us learn.  We even used it to count in Irish.

Sometimes we have challenges with our Numicon.  We had to use only one type of Numicon shape to cover the whole board.  If you used 10s to cover the whole board, you would only need ten of them.  If you were using 5s, you would need twenty of them.  If you were using 4s, you would have twenty-five.

Numicons are fun to use!  Numicons are the best!
