Senior Infants Room 5: Learning about time

Room 5 have been learning about time this week. We talked about the different times of the day – morning, afternoon, evening and night-time. We wrote about some of the things that we do at these times. Today we made our own clocks. We decorated them and the hands on our clock can even move around. Junior Infants Room 2: Read to Self

Over the next while in room 2, the children will be learning how to read to self. This is a literacy practice that fosters independence and confidence in reading. First Class Room 7: Trip to TLC Centre

On Thursday, First Class had the privilege for performing for their community elders in the TLC Centre in Citywest. We sung some Irish songs for them, recited two poems and performed one of our favourite Christmas songs “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas“!
