Fifth Class had a great time on their school tour today. We went to the GPO Experience at the General Post Office, O Connell Street Dublin 1 firstly. This was the headquarters of the 1916 Easter Rising. A special thanks to Alex, our tour guide for the day. After a brief lunch on the rooftop terrace of the GPO, we walked 1,400 metres from the GPO to the famous Viking museum, Dublinia where Ian brought us back to this majestic era! Over the course of Fifth Class, we had completed much research, project work and inquiry into the 1916 Easter Rising and the Viking Era in Ireland. This very much complemented and built upon our knowledge.
A very very special thank you to Ciara, Seja, Anna and Ms. Glynn for their company. It was greatly appreciated. Pat, our bus driver also deserves a shout out! Thank you Pat.
