Last week, the children in Room 3 enjoyed an exciting day out in Lullymore for their school tour. The children took part in activities such as a train ride, a trip into a traditional Irish cottage, play time in the playground and they even got to see a fairy village! This week Room 3 have been celebrating science week! We had a very interesting visit from Doctor David Fitzpatrick which included observing a real-life tarantula and even making elephant toothpaste. On Friday all of the children in Senior Infants welcomed a very special visitor. Katie from the Road Safety Authority came to Citywest & Saggart CNS to talk to us about road safety. We listened to a story about a boy called Simon, we talked about how we can cross the road safely and then we sang our song about the Safe Cross Code. Today the children in room 3 planted our own hyacinths. We placed the bulb into the soil and covered the top with some more soil. We learned that plants need water and sunlight to grow so we watered them and left them sitting on the window sill to catch the sun. We will keep you updated as they begin to grow!
